exileFakerFaker's second LSDJ

By exileFaker on February 7, 2016 7:36 pm

This seems to be situated firmly in the uncanny/unpleasant valley between noise and music, which has kind of a carnival vibe about it. Weird.
The net has learned to make kick instruments in LSDJ's Pulse channel using sweep commands, and seems to be developing some sense of rhythm/musicality. For science...!

Sweet dissonance! Is this just one instance of LSDJ? Pretty dense wall of sound coming out of a gameboy.

AVANT-HYPE

It's totally improving! You could isolate certain measures and use them for improv

Almost like two tracks interwoven.  I love the ending!

Definitely coming along isn't it? Still has the "Crazy Bus" vibe.

ahahaha this is radical!!!

Dope track!

autechre's peel session 2 on gameboy smile

Glad it sounds that way! Just one LSDJ. But just about every tick has values for notes, FX, etc. I kinda wish the thing would learn to generate some silence once in awhile! smile

Cool glad you think so O_O yeah, eventually I'd like to incorporate bits from this stuff into traditionally composed tracks, but I'm still improving the model.

Good ear! This thing was trained on two songs so in a way this is a noisy/scrambled statistical average of the two tongue
Honestly the ending is kind of a con job. I slowed the tempo down manually for the last two bars 'cause otherwise it just...stops. But there are no other such cheats!
