Medieval Walks

By evane on January 28, 2018 2:50 pm

I was trying to remember a medieval character in an old computer game, peacefully walking through from screen to screen, on his quest to find whatever it is he must find. The tune is ordinary for this ordinary fellow but he is happy in his game, in his forest, on his quest.
The Concert Nylon guitar from Air Music Xpand!2 includes over-the-top fret noise and played through a MIDI keyboard, which adds to the authenticity of the computer game.

This work uses a forest sample from freesound:

Nailed the atmosphere smile Great job sampling the guitar, it sounds alive yet there's some midi charm in it

lovely!

Thanks purelygrey. I incorrectly inferred that I sampled the guitar, I apologise and can't take credit for that!  Description now updated.
I have now tried playing it on a real nylon string guitar and it's quite fun!

This is something different. Refreshingly different. Definitely does have that early adventure game vibe. Well done.

Ye olde nice one, mate.
