used this week to practice composition by referencing another track i really like. did deep listening on the original to map the parts, blocks, instruments, etc. then did my own version with my own found quote.

this helped me sit down nearly every day this week, vs just my usuall right-before-the-deadline-make-it-all-up. didn't quite have all the time to add every element in, or properly mix, but happy with it.

Very cool, heavy house beat! Great quote--what's the source? I like the intensity of the beat, the touch of room-sized reverb on the drums, the accents throughout, and the timing of the drops. Nicely done!

Very cool sound byte! And the bass line works great. Perhaps doing some more long automation runs would give it a bit more momentum.

I like this, the hi pitch James brown type “huh” sample made me giggle lol the reverb on the vocal is excellent. Love that weird stuff. I think the bass kick was still hi pass filtered from 2min till the end tho :\ but didn’t steer me away.
