a decayed in three acts (or lack thereof if not for trying)

i sat down to create this week literally just after learning about the mass shooting in uvalde texas here in the states. i scrolled down my newsfeed and timeline looking at reactions and then sat down to create and started with some hard drums and synths expressing anger and frustration. when i came back to it later, a more rhythmic hiphop-esque idea emerged, and i was sitting with golden state warriors coach steve kerr's impromptu outcry which impacted me (and i don't even ever really watch sports). then i did some more research and looked up some more speeches. found emma gonzalez' speech from march for our lives in 2018. then found some from obama in 2013. tried to let them do most of the talking while just creating a sonic background/collage for the words. or like a sonic poster of protest, distress, and call to action.

i'm claiming fair use of the samples used (and some might even be public domain based on who said them and where) since this piece is commentary and critique on a relevant social event and topic.

Heavy stuff, let's hope it's going to end because of this (it's probably not).
