Tough Arms

It's loose and limber,
Lanky and loopy.
It's mostly just some beats,
Turned into a song.

I hope you like it,
Could care less if you don't.
At least you still listened,
Don't taze me, bro.

Tried to make this one in a major key. Or at least something different. It's hard to make music with the intent of being joyful rather than the usual feeling of "make it as intense as I can." A lot of my lyrics are dark. Not sure why, maybe just because they sound cool or maybe because there's some kind of internal turmoil. I dunno, it's just music. But it can also be whatever you and I need it to be.

Really fun! I definitely feel a playful vibe with this arrangement. The synths that come in at 0:30ish are pretty whimsical, and that slowdown at 2:15 is a nice touch smile

I hear you on trying to get out of your comfort zone. My struggle has mostly been to try and not make pads with plinky sounds and some sort of bass. It's always easier to make stuff that's familiar and comfortable and at this point in the year, I really have to give myself a lot of time to push into something new. But also we just gotta have fun with this stuff because that's kind of the point, right?

I had a feeling I wasn't alone with this thought process 🤙🏻🥰 The plinky sounds are addictive, though. One of my favorite parts about writing songs is choosing the sounds. Like you said, it's a journey for us, but we can lean on one another for feedback and support. At least it's having someone else tell you that you aren't the only crazy one.
