W45 - Cerebral Morph (W44 - Mail)

Several evening rides trying to catch the last of the sun. Have not been leaving the house as much. Delorean Overdrive Magfest planning. Talked through set improvement points, staging, resources, and rig modifications. Worked on visual direction and labor splitting. Talked about queer coding in Road House (1989) and 80's film. Also 808 state, Underworld, Sophie, Paranoid London, and Wierdcore. Met with friends at D and J's house for hotpot. Played with the kids and held new borns. Surprise cake to celebrate legal wedding. Wife picked up World of Wong Kar Wai Criterion collection and we made it to Season 4 of DS9. Went to first venu tour and talked to cattering services. She felt sick all week. Slept on the couch to avoid catching it. Election cycle played out. Monitored from a distance. Tried avoiding hearing more then needed for mental health. Got high and watched comedy movie from childhood with AL. Local went well (NIMBY with substance abuse issues and poor political ties pushed out), state not good, federal... as expected (frustratingly).

While watching TV, I was looking through pedal box. Decided to experiment with the DD-20 like when I first started making music. Second pedal I owned with the first being my DD-6. Would loop and space guitar, mics, and toy keyboards. Early intro to ambient and later electronic music creation. Back then I tried to use my guitar in some less than traditional ways (lots of volume knob tweaking). Had a similar session of careful layering with just the DD-20 and guitar recorded directly to recorder in stereo. Originally almost 10 minutes long. Trimmed in Ableton and added a few growing effects.
Mail was an extra track created for last week. Edited previous week to include more details.
