I don't know if we will ever be free, but I know that this bass is pretty awesome. Really like those "dreamy" vocals too.

sounds like the way ginger tastes

Gorgeous work. You have a real knack for spectral separation in your parts.

THIS! What a nice bass sound here, full, and has its perfect place in the mix, acting as the anchor of the track. I like the reverb added to the percussion from 1:14 on. Are these bird sounds in the percussion as well?

Great mood in this track.

Have to agree with what's already been said in regards to the bass.  It really sits in the perfect spot in the mix and  sounds great with the ethereal sounds washing all around it.

Magic, utter magic. I know it's not saying much given how much I like your music but this one's one of my favorites of yours. The best is how the guitar synth sparkles on top of your voice, the bass below, and yet the ooooh is 100% in command of my entire listening experience. Great work.

love that guitar/synth line - the catchiness and the sound design of it! lovely vocals as well, a sound i'd like to work towards

this is a perfect track. the title is unforeseeable.

The above comments are spot on. I really love this one too, just magic. It’s otherworldly, yes, but also extremely up front, direct and highly compelling. smile

really struggled with the mix on this piece - thank you for the nice feedback

What even is free, free from what?

Love that subtle pick up note in the bass, and the round bass sound anchoring all the more ethereal sounds. Great clarity and separation in the mix. I like where you placed the drums in the EQ spectrum so bass is lowest and drums are more of a mid-range pop.  I don't think it would have worked as well with a standard 4/4 beat keeping time but with the more sporadic beat, it works. Very clever! I'll try that some time but will probably mess it up smile

i have to confess that i have very basic rhythm understanding & due to sensory processing issues/forced childhood piano practice with metronomes - i just get thrown off when i try to use them...

i just kinda piece things together by what sounds right...
i really need to figure out what it is i'm actually doing - i often want to change the rhythm of a loop and get lost when i try - your comment is making me feel motivated to work on this!
thank you for listening & it's nice to hear that all the EQ work & mixing is sounding good to other ears smile

Your tracks have always had such a cool sounding atmosphere and that is because of the mix I believe.  Well that and the cool vocal harmonies duh.  The percussion creates a nice meditative groove with the bassline that lets the vocals shine through so well.  Well done!

Your voice is incredible.  You are so talented, with everything from sound design, to composition.

oooh that bass, yesss. Tasty sparkles coming in and the reverbed haunting vocals sound great. I hope we all are free. Or feel free. Is feeling free ok if maybe you aren't fully free? What really is freedom? Oh my so many questions now. But that's good. This is is engaging!
