at 2:27 the song explodes. that is fact. well done.

Very primal, go get that energy.
- Spider

It captures the feeling of not being totally awake and yet having your mind racing nonetheless.

Great track, if i'm interpreting the description right and you recorded parts upon waking up, that's really great, lyrics/melody occasionally come to me in dreams and it is the best thing in the world.
This track inspires me to add drums to my next WB.
Thanks as ever for your unique and sincere contributions.

ha, i kept trying to listen for the “i haven’t even had coffee yet” line, i think i hear it in the beginning(i definitely hear the “ugh” right before that big_smile), i love how you transform lyrics into a floating melody above everything, haunts like a ghost, but doesn’t impose the words as a solid thing to be attached to, this keeps me appreciating the musicality of all the emotions within them(without getting thrown off by any self-imposed connotations)… and the entire song flows like a mind feeling out-of-control, yet constantly arriving at this general emotion of struggle, therefore, very much grounded(even if grounded in unease). so brilliant! heart

the music from outside the club beckons you in, where are all the people, no one knows, so you dance anyways. lovely track.

Whatever this is type of music is that you've been making lately: it rules. cool  That reverb-y ghost choir  ambience has a(n after)life of its own, and the vocals swelling up near the end were massive.  Sounds great, feels cool, and careens between a little quirky and a lot ethereal.

So that's what type of music this is: Liminal Club tongue

Love how that gritty synth line sounds.  It sits so nicely in the mix with the House beat and bass.  Your vocals sound like they're breaking thru from another dimension yikes   The added percussion was a nice effect.  Some dark housey vibes smile

thank you all for listening & your very kind encouraging words - i feel like i've been a bit of a ghost from another dimension/in the club next door/in a primal awake dream state... your descriptors really reflected the work/lived experience back to me - i also added "liminal club" as a tag - i shy from music genre's generally but this whole thread made me smile smile

i hope you are all taking care and being gentle with yourselves this week heart

That beat and these high energy bells. I like the energy of this track! Super groovy!

i did have the track made & was waking up when i recorded/wrote that lyric part - tried not to think about it to much - i'm not sure i've had a dream song come to life yet - that sounds AMAZING!!!

Love the beat and that syncopated bass synth line. This would be a great club track.  I see lots of flashing lights and smoke machine fogging up the dance floor smile

This is a wonderful combo of 4-on-the-floor and left-of-field everything else, I think the vocals & reverb make the tune. heart

A remarkable story of brains & music is Clive Wearing's ability to play piano pieces in spite of one of the worst documented cases of anterograde amnesia, I'm not sure how to TW on this video.
