happy midsummer solstice in the northern hemisphere & winter solstice to you down south!

the track offering this week by jwh is a mastercalss in guitar playing, mixing, tone sculpting by someone who's been doing this a very long time...

the track offering this week by emily is the sound of someone learning to do something new worts and all
please bear with (bonus points if you get the reference)

i haven't tried to play guitar or ukulele in quite some time
i'm feeling very low energy this week so i thought i'd try a one track one take go and see what happens - this is the result + jwh said he heard a bass part & harmony so that's there too as a nice bonus treat wink

i put out an album this week of tracks you've heard here this year on WB
as a thank you to ya'll for your kind words & support

beautiful

oh stahhhhp

thank you for letting me join in on this lovely song in the wind
heart

I waited for those eerie vocals to come in! Was not disappointed big_smile The tag says "dig barking", which made me think of some elaborate mining technique.

I think sometimes we feel that more is better and want to throw in a lot of stuff into tracks, but there's a beauty in simplicity a lot of times and this is a great example.  The bass and harmony are nice additions, but I think there's exactly as much here as is necessary.

Congrats on the album release!  I used the first code vlel-km6v

Beautiful. The space in this is just amazing, those bells in the background, the birds, and then the guitar and vocals! Haunting, blissful. I picked up the guitar for the first time in a while this week too. Always a little intimidating. This was beautiful.

I'm using code 7p6h-66t9 and thank you!

Like the unplugged performance, even it sounds like it was recorded in a canal. no more comfort zone. The part with Synth and bass are very iree and powerful. Great.

WB's a great outlet for trying new things. What a treat to get to hear your ukulele playing. big_smile Keep up the great work!

Often these one takes bring a special magic, like here!

Got your album but didn't want to use a code so I could pay for it

Thanks for making such inspirational music heart

Airy, dreamy, relaxing and beautiful. I liked the vocal layer harmonies.

It's a really nice moment when the soft vocals emerge in the second half. Loved all the ambient background sounds too.

ethereal and beautiful as always.

such a lovely sound altogether between the guitar and uke.  the uke verb is extra pleasing and then the vocals soothe the soul.  Soooo nice thank you! I used code, 9mdp-bkm6 smile

Beautiful, haunting and minimalist!
