as we all
get our bearings

as the ground
shifts
beneath us all

"This is not a show, this is not a game. This is your goddamn country.
You don’t have to love it, and you don’t have to leave it — but do not ever forget it is yours."

i feel less scared with you in the world. this song is incredible, like it's almost hard to believe it exists.
thank you, and thank you for introducing me to Sarah's writing.

Love this, there are some Bjork vibes there.

Hypnotic "synths" and vocals... Nice listen on this Monday morning.

Beautiful and dreamlike. Love the drones all the way thru. Sort of gives me Sound of Ceres vibes.

Bravo. This track is so beautiful. I love the organ pads you have chosen for this track. I get the policia „lay your cards out“ feel again. My favorite song this year of yours. May your grief disappear and happiness return. MEHA.

Lovely as ever. The quote is food for thought. Thank you!

eerily calm music for the heavy subject matter. thanks for the article link, I read it while listening. "one option is to stop watching" - not gonna lie, it's looking like an increasingly attractive option.

cognative tension is a lot friends - hope you are all taking care heart

"Being an engaged citizen of Trump’s America means living in a constant state of cognitive tension. One cannot put the president and his lies out of one’s mind, because he is the president. Accepting that the president continuously tweets or says things that are not true, are known not to be true, are intended to be heard or read as power lies, and will continue to be broadcast—on Twitter and by the media—after they have been repeatedly disproven means accepting a constant challenge to fact-based reality. In effect, it means that the two realities—Trumpian and fact-based—come to exist side by side, on equal ground. The tension is draining. The need to pay constant attention to the lies is exhausting, and it is compounded by the feeling of helplessness in the face of the ridiculous and repeated lies. Most Americans in the age of Trump are not, like the subjects of a totalitarian regime, subjected to state terror. But even before the coronavirus, they were subjected to constant, sometimes debilitating anxiety. One way out of that anxiety is to relieve the mind of stress by accepting Trumpian reality. Another—and this too is an option often exercised by people living under totalitarianism—is to stop paying attention, disengage, and retreat to one’s private sphere. Both approaches are victories for Trump in his attack on politics.”
― Masha Gessen, Surviving Autocracy

I really enjoy how the two different synths sound together.  Such a warm and hypnotic sound with the rhythm of the higher synth and soothing bass synth.  Your vocals sound awesome and take it to a whole nother level.  I love how those first intro pads sound.  Oof and then the bass again. This is def one of my favs of yours this year.  Thank you smile
