These quotes and this lyrics and this whole track are just what I needed today. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how music collectively - like, every piece of music ever written - is kind of like one big safety net, and any individual piece could be the one that catches somebody who needs a lift. It’s kind amazing that so many people are here in the same place on WB helping to build that.

So, thank you for making awesome music!

i love everything about this heart

beautiful

This makes my heart glow and it's catchy.

Guitar work here is so good. Perfectly arranged gloom pop track heart

Beautiful. There's a nostalgic element to the beats that despite being "upbeat" also creates a mournful sense of longing for better times. Really lovely.

heart oh wow. really nice set on instruments, it all fits together so well. then 1:38, elevating. great track!

hah, I just started going to the gym again and I actually had the thought "I should put this on my gym mix" lol. I don't know how that makes sense, but if it gets me to the gym, I'll do it!

The guitar at 1:38, amazing. Great writing as always. That synth line is catchy

Oooh such a cool feel to that synth bass as it weaves in and out of the beat.  The opening synth is catchy and goes so well with your vocals floating over top.  Love the chord progression to that second section.  Such a driving feel to it.  Awesome work!

... instantly entranced...

Could not agree more!
I love that it is ethereal, but also has a super dancy and catchy beat to it. Gorgeous!!! Definitely material for a space adventure.

really nice sounds and effects. reverb on point, everything gels nicely. nice rhythms and syncopations and slightly synth cheeze melody. it's like not taking itself too seriously, but on a pretty serious topic. I like that a lot.

I wish I knew when I was a kid that adults are also just big kids that are just as lost. but I remember thinking hey one day when I grow up I'll have it figured out. That was a nice feeling.

Ok I this is my favorite you've ever done, added to fav's

The synth line is catchy and in conjunction with the guitar gives me a little bit of a Depeche Mode feeling.  The ethereal vocals take it somewhere else though. The quotes add some nice context to this as well.

+1 to what Horațiu said: you hold the perfect presence here like i've never heard you before, up-close-enough to be fully appreciated but still with that angelic aura trailing behind you.

Really appreciate thar Rilke quote today. And this song is gorgeous. Somethinh I needed and I dudbt know it until it's here. Thank you.

fucking stellar production on this, em. heart

Those quotes... That feeling of being lost is something I can very much relate to. "Try to love the questions themselves" - something I've felt and striven for so often but I've never seen it written down so simply and so elegantly. Thank you for sharing heart

This piece is beautiful, when the drums kicked in they carried me away to the clouds were your vocals were soaring.

Nicely put LC

Great before the guitar and then bonkers great!

Love it! Guitars so nice, your vocal sound always magic, synths, very nice. I'm bobbing my head and starting to feel better about being list in a long document at work. I saw your image above and heard this, not my mind is in the forest. Time to get lost.

I think that being lost is just part of wandering.

Beautiful work as usual, emily! Gave me something to think about, as this week fades into the next once again.

the quotes are hitting

am i lost?

I DON'T KNOW, ARE YOU? smile

"weekly beats are the bottled messages of lost musicians"
~ Drew, Orange Drink

also the drum beat is really nice and the super vocal echo plays off the near/far lost feeling
