Start Again From Scratch: Let's Keep It Short

Okay, initially I started with a chord progression but halfway in, I felt that it didn't work out. So I started something different, drums first this time, then bass. Had a lead hook in my that didn't match the tempo. Great. Squeezed it in anyways and rendered the (kinda finished) first half. Better luck next time, I guess.

Sounds pretty cohesive to me.

Kind of a Kraftwerk The Robots vibe to this one.

Nice punchy drums as well.

There's like three songs worth of ideas in here and thats a great thing to have cuz they all sounds good. As the first half of a track this is definitely worth chasing, cuz the second half will be kinda epic - but if its not working for ya, there's so much in here you could break out into its own song, lots to work with. Sounds great heart

Loving the groove of the punchy drums from start to finish.  I personally like how the themes are being explored a bit and have their own sections like neon liminal pointed out.  Nice work!

... but you did finish something! Also I agree that it does sound more cohesive than I would have thought from the description. Nice work!

I didn't notice it while producing, but once I read your post I cannot unhear it. Drums are some samples I liked from the MPC Deep House Kit which I put into Sitala for usage in Reaper. Does not sound exactly as in MPC (b/c of their in built fx being different from my reaper and vst fx) but I like them.

Yeah, the theme in the middle really cries for a much faster rave/gabber track, 140-160 bpm maybe. I couldn't get it out of my head and I had to use it, before I forget it.

Yea, some weeks are tougher than others but the 1 min limit keeps the motivation alive. I can make that: if I have more ideas (sound design, progression) than time/energy, but also if I am out of ideas - just start the arp, finger a randomm chord, add some drums.
