In And Out In 90 Seconds

By embix on April 11, 2026 9:44 am

Initially I wanted to make an 80s style action series intro theme for the April 2026 One Synth Challenge for Zebra3, but ended up making a score for an entry/heist scene/montage instead that's only half Zebra 3. A few of the patches are from Hybrid 3 that should be possible to recreate I spent more time on that, but the soundeffects will be quite tricky. Way to go and the clock is tickin, enjoy.

I LOVE the blown bottle sounds.

Zebra is super cool but I'm not clever enough to use it.

Some great Kraftwerk vibes on this.

Thanks a lot. I didn't initially go for the Kraftwerk sound, but now that you mention it, I can hear it too.

It certainly has capabilities that are still beyond me. But if you're familiar with subtractive synthesis, you can already do much with oscillators, filters and envelopes alone. FM with FMOs is a bit tricky, but there are some known recipes.Multi Stage Envelope Generators are nice and can be used as Sequencer and/or LFOs.

As for Exciters and some other modules, I have no clue. If you look at a factory preset you like, you may find some of these modules used and see how they shape the sound. Either experiment with them or read up on them, if you're in the mood. I currently treat them as bonus content smile

Oh yeah, I can see the heist before my eyes. Very cool and well done!

That's probably the best reaction one can hope for. Thanks.

My wife wanted to make a joke about me and your title.
<_<

Nice little track!
*walks away with the score under his arm, nobody the wiser*
