The news was full of war on Friday so I headed to the piano for distraction. Recorded this with direct input from the electric piano then again with a Zoom H4N for room ambience. I love the M8, but the tracker format doesn't seem to make it easy to work with long audio samples without cutting them up into smaller chunks, which then leads to pops and clicks when the chunks transition. Maybe there are some tricks to avoid this, but I'm not aware of them yet.

This piece is beautiful. The production, bits and bytes against the piano is beautiful. It sounds just like it needs to sound.

Cheers James!

refreshing, really enjoyed this. sometime you just gotta lean into an idea and push the world away

Lovely piano & performance, and I really like the very subtle extra bits here and there. Good way to transform tragedy into art.

Beautiful performance. The world is better for its existence.
