Energy Coil Extinguished (Lament For A Dead Pilot) | Dramatic Restless Electro in 17/16

A dramatic little tune in 17/16. I didn't have any techno in me this week. Just too tired for that. But in keeping with the WipEout theme I have going, I imagine this as the music played underneath the replay footage of a deceased pilot in the Anti-Gravity Racing League. After they either crashed and burned. Or got eliminated through a plasma bolt, of something.
I imagine it would depicted in a way like you can see in the cinematic worlds of old Paul Verhoeven films such as Robocop and Starship Troopers. It's heroic and sad. It's tense and restless. And I deliberately left it unresolved at the sudden end. Thought that was nicely symbolic for what happens when a life gets snuffed out prematurely.
This about the closest I dare getting to speedtrash. This week was a busy week for me. I did record music for another project, but that's not personal music. So that doesn't count. And I worked on an animation. Both were fun! But it left very little time for WeeklyBeats. I knew that would be the case. The coming weeks should be a bit more calm again.
As always, thank you for listening! And any and all feedback is welcome.
