A Sad Snowy Night | Cinematic Dark Mysterious Ambient Drone

By electronic_tiger on February 15, 2026 11:38 pm

I was running low on time this week. So I made this cinematic little cue in about 4 hours. It probably has more reverb than is good for it. Didn't have time for a proper mix. And the composition is a bit more ambient than I would like it to be. But time ran out, so it is what it is.

Any and all feedback is welcome.

Love it. Very cinematic indeed.

The title is apt as I can picture a dark snowy landscape.  It has some propulsive moments that I think keep it from being total ambient music, but those parts are very cool.  I feel a palpable sense of tension as the track builds.  Nice one.

This is great. Love the guitar/string sound, the whole piece is lovely.

you're the expert but for me the sense of space and the whole mix is great. even what sounds like room noise is on point for the effect it brings. I couldn't do this in a week, let alone four hours. amazing and arresting.

Thank you very much. I'm happy to hear that you like it. I am no expert, though. Not by a long shot. But I have been making music for over 20 years. So I do have a lot of experience. And that's the key to doing things fast. So in way it would be fair to say I made this track in 20 years + 4 hours. And you can do that, too. It's just a matter of time and practice.

Anyway, thanks for listening!!
