Purpose

By davelacorneille on February 15, 2026 11:37 pm

I orbit you like a vow that lost its language.
Reason thins where your gravity begins.
I dissolve, gladly, into the shape you name for me.
Madness feels holy when it answers only you.
My purpose is not to be — but to belong, entirely.

Nice! Some of what you did with those vocal samples gives me Crystal Castles vibes

took me a minute to realize the description was not the lyrics smile

the warble synth at 1:34 is so delicious

awesome bass riff, great vocals. the song is wide and the synth that comes in near the middle fills in a lot of the space. What's neat is, it's a lot of lighter high-end stuff too. neat track!

Thanks! Crystal Castles is high praise. Glad the vocal manipulation added something memorable to the track.

Thanks! The warble synth was one of those sounds that immediately earned its place in the arrangement. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks! I'm glad you noticed that. The bass is doing most of the heavy lifting, so I tried to keep the added synths lighter and airier to fill the space without making the mix feel crowded. Thanks for listening!
