Back to messing with VCV Rack. Once I resampled and got into writing I realized that I had pretty much recreated the bass sound from J Dilla's E=MC², so I went with it. Unfortunately, it's another track that I'm not 100% feeling. The groove feels underwhelming to me.

Definitely not underwhelming IMO. Can't help but bob my head to this one. Great tones you've got. I just looked up VCV Rack (I love how WB opens you up to things you never even knew existed). Looks pretty complicated but sounds like you manipulated it very well on this track. Nice work!
I appreciate the kind words. VCV Rack can definitely get real complicated real quick, but if you're interested in learning it you should look up Omri Cohen on YouTube. Following a couple of his tutorials made it make sense to me real quick.

Cool, I'll take a look into it. Thanks for the info!
The groove is mellow, so it's definitely there.
Very cool track, I'm really diggin' it!
Loves it! Simple science is sexy! BoOoooOM!
Sick drums as always
Ah yeah that bass! Nice work. I gotta check out VCV, thanks for sharing.
nice one, love the contrast between the smooth pads and the rubbery bass
Not underwhelming at all, Sir! I really enjoyed this one. One of the things a really like about your music is that your tracks feel like songs. The slow evolution of the "strings" in this one (maybe is just a long shimmer reverb, I don't know) builds a subtle but effective crescendo.
Downloaded, as usual. Great work!
