I Feel Alive

By E-dub on April 1, 2020 1:45 pm

It's not quite reggae. Not quite anything, really. Story of my life.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I see the light at the end of the tunnel
As we’re funneling out of the darkness inside
I feel the answers are dancing around us
as we’re taking our chances with nothing to hide.
I see the light. And I feel alive.

It’s a beautiful morning. All the birds are singing.
There’s a lovely sunrise making me wonder what this day will be bringing.
The mist is on the dawn grass as I eat my breakfast outside.
The promise of possibility as another day arrives.

I see the light at the end of the tunnel
As we’re funneling out of the darkness inside
I feel the answers are dancing around us
as we’re taking our chances with nothing to hide.
I see the light. And I feel alive.

It’s a glorious day. With the flowers blooming.
Wispy clouds across the horizon—the world is resuming.
The squirrels scurry up the tree as they start a brand new day.
Should we silently celebrate or join them in play?

I see the light at the end of the tunnel
As we’re funneling out of the darkness inside
I feel the answers are dancing around us
as we’re taking our chances with nothing to hide.

I see the light at the end of the tunnel
As we’re funneling out of the darkness inside
I feel the answers are dancing around us
as we’re taking our chances with nothing to hide.
I see the light. And I feel alive.

great lyrics !

I can feel the almost-but-not-quite reggae vibes, and in some ways it's kind of more interesting I think for not being full on.  It's more of a suggestion of reggae.

It's basically Supertramp.

Your voice is super good in this, I like how you are being more playful in execution here.  Great lyrics.  This is my new fave from you!!

The little pitch back up during the chorus is really cool.

Yeah, it's more interesting as like - Reggae-step - very neat.  Very jaunty.

Thank you Drew.

Honky tonk! With a Rush vibe. A total mix of things, all awesome! Love the vocal delivery and the lyrics.
