Shout out to @sleepunit, @[ViridianLoom] & @Morgan for providing feedback on this weeks track #FeedbackFam

Gonna try to make a full length trip hop album. If you have any artist suggestions that might inspire, lemme know. Cheers.

This track was also inspired by Rakim.

Dude like I said already, I would buy the album today. I’ve been sending this around all day haha. It’s just so good.

The track as a whole is great but the vocals are the real miracle here.

Nice!! I was listening on my iPad‘a internal speakers, but your opening made me switch to a proper audio system. Great sounds and great vibe! I’m with jbarket—I’d buy an album like this!

The vibe of this track fucking rocks, dude. I particularly dig your feel for rhythm, how this is in 4/4 but you embrace emphasizing those off beats with the kick and bass. There's a particular point in the phrase that feels like it's like an 8th or 16th note behind or in front of the beat that kind of gives it this uneasy feeling which is just perfect for the dark tone of trip hop. Your voice is perfect for this style too, you kind of remind me of Stu Mackenzie from King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard a bit here if he experimented with trip hop (He very well might, eventually. That band has done so many genres at this point).

Wow, love this. Especially the vocal production. Since there are not that many elements there is space and impact. Congrats on the track! it sounds very good.

This is great! Love the vocals, drums and bass are so direct, and all those pads in the background. awesome vibe.

Another sick tune from you! Soooo good, favorited!

I agree wholeheartedly, fuck the past! I'm also in favour of pretty little bags.

Loving the bag theme this week big_smile
Immaculate production as always! Sure do love hearing your voice!

this is really interesting, nicely done!

Awesome mixing on the vocals! Sounds like the dual tracking guitar trick of panning two of the same track to the extremes...? also nice combining this with the center vocal sometimes. hits hard!

Great sense of rhythm too! And cool lyrics, altho I didn't focus much on them!

Nice one! Great vibe, feeling it. Awesome vocals!

Super cool!

On repeat listen, it kind of sounds like the vocals get quieter sometimes when the heavy bass kicks in? Is this because I'm listening on laptop speakers? Or is it a modern compression technique?

I also want to win tickets to your show.

Very cool vibes, really dig the vocal delivery and intensity of vocals + bass with the chill synths and beat.

Insert robot noises.
That's in part feedback, you put robot pics everywhere, you can totally make it your brand and calling card in the song.
Nice as is though, very tight.

Aww thanks frenz. As the album grows, I'm posting each finished track to my bandcamp. Gonna aim for 10 or so tracks. https://drumbender.bandcamp.com/album/pig-island if you wanna support the trip hop adventure.

I really appreciate everyone taking the time to listen and connect. Can't wait to hear everyone's week 04.

really like the vocal delivery on this

Another one where I'm just really captured by the vocals, the timing of things is really captivating as well. I agree that I'd also buy this album already as well.

Wow, the negative space in this track amplifies the intensity so well. So good.

Thanks frenz. I'm excited to exercise and improve my voice, songwriting and beat-making skills this year. I'm also inspired by ODrinks goal to do all live takes. I haven't played live in forever and would love to try to setup a tour this year.
