Avoid Hello

I dig the rhythm of this one, but I don't like how long it takes for live loops to get going. Basically takes 1-2 minutes to get the idea of the song going. LAME.

I guess if it's good enough for techno it's good enough for me smile

I also got a new mic and I'm trying it out on vox this week. It sounds "horrible" and I love it.

Watched a bjork documentary this week and it inspired me to give myself permission to really think about this track as the starting point for collaboration with other musicians. This track is def not where i want it to land but I love where it could go.

The dream would be, being able to do it live with:

2 drummers
4-8 vocalists
Gary Newman on synths smile
Guitar + Bass
Synth x2

Im also noticing that the ditto looper x4 i use is clunky on the first loop, but if you do multiple layers of the same part, and play in time, it fixes itself. I probably should have done another take with the verse vox higher in the mix, but its more fun to just have fun with these weekly beats smile

Question:
How many WB folks use this platform as a way to create music that can be performed live??? When I started this year, i wasn't thinking about that at all, but now I totally am.

Gonna start playing my stuff live just as soon as I get good enough to actually play it live. Until then: studio magic!

This track feels like I'm under a rhythmic assault with futuristic weapons. Very cool!

Vocals are you? Love what they're singing and how the texture comes through. Slamming beat -- the kick (bass) sound is obnoxious and works really well.

To answer your question: I certainly hope to adopt stuff I have into a live set, but I'm not sure when and how to find the time to do that while also producing new things + job + "adulting" occasionally. But yeah, music's more fun together.
