Dance of the Swamp Spirits

Had a small clip I made using the Airways pad in GarageBand so decided to jump the gun on Halloween as many others already have. wink

The chattering frogs and crickets are semi-generative FM synth instruments.
The bull frog is a distorted contrabassoon from the philharmonia pack.

love the generated nature sounds. nice spooky beat!

It feels like a really chill groove with some high octane action going on, not sure if I'd go with a skeletal rave, more of an industrial intervention, which honestly sounds like a genre all its own
- Ebrit

Love when that bass comes in, nice work!

was waiting for the hammer at 3:16, you got a whole next section waiting.

I like the combination of the spooky Halloween feelings and the groovy dance vibes.  For sure what all the hip spirits will be partying to this year.

Thank you kindly. Those really made the song for me personally.

Funny how these songs evolve and stuff just shows up. I've learned so much from all of you.  One thing I've learned is to just go with your (sometimes heavily influenced) gut despite the fact a lot of it is from previous listening. (Another reason I think its important to listen to all the music here). My naive rationale thus far is: things committed to memory must be important (shaky logic for sure), therefore if it influences the song for some reason, I don't fight it too much.  So far the result is music I enjoy personally, which motivates me to keep going, which has for me become a much needed commodity @ WB! smile

The intense moment around 3:00 rips off propellerheads spybreak, but because I love that song I'm not ashamed it appears.

Thank you for kind words! before I added the swamp sounds the dry break really sounded like a drafty haunted house to me.

I like the wind that I can hear in this piece!

saw your propellerheads comment, love them!
