Something short this week. A friend commissioned me for music for their twitch channel and this is the result. They wanted it to loop so there's a bit of trailing reverb/delay in the start of course. It ended up being a very simple piece, but I love how it came out.

As we're nearing the final stretch of WB, I'm struggling to resist the urge to just phone it in for the rest of the year. Really make some bottom of the barrel material. Other option is to make some bangers that are easy and formulaic so I can just coast til January.

Very nice, the arpeggios and the groove remind me of the Celeste soundtrack.

Thoughts on "phoning it in": I'm in the same shoes and feel kinda exhausted a lot of the time. There's no shame in taking off some pressure. But I'd take an experiment that took you 30min to make but had fun with over a "formulaic" banger anytime. We got AI for that stuff. wink

Hell yeah, that's good to know, I love doing my silly experiments that's for sure!!

Wow, got a wierd hit of nostalgia from how this sounds. Totally like something I unexpectedly would have found using Mid 2000's Dogpile music search or through this awesome, but unfortunatley defunct, music blog called "That Hadouken Sound". "Free Music Archive" vibes even.

Nailed that elusive Boards of Canada era flavor of lofi percussion over a dreamy guitar outlining chill chords―the mood it sets is fantastic +fav
