Empyrean Vortex

Some more midtempo made in Bitwig. The bass sound design was mostly done with stock Bitwig devices. Every day I'm amazed by how far I can get without reaching for any 3rd party plugins in Bitwig, it's just so good.

Overall I'm pleased with how this came out but I feel like it's missing a certain something that a lot of midtempo I've been listening to at work all week has, I'll have to do some active listening/studying to figure it out :thinking_emoji:

The sound design is sick and I really dig how much expression you work into the arrangment as it develops.  The beat is intense!  (tbh I love what I'm hearing from a lot of bitwig users, but the subscription model keeps me away)

You don't need to be on Bitwig's upgrade plan to get the full benefits of Bitwig. If I stopped renewing my upgrade plan today, then I'd consider myself set for life with this DAW. In terms of features, I don't *need* more than what version 5.2 has. Aside from some minor wishlist features I have, I'd consider it a perfect DAW how it is now. I just keep renewing my upgrade plan because I'm a Bitwig superfan and I get serotonin from the shiny new toys they put out each update lol.

Bitwig is currently $100 off during their Summer Sale. You only ever need to buy it once and you get access to the latest version and everything that comes in it, no restrictions. Plus you do get one year of the upgrade plan for free when you buy it so you'd likely get access to version 5.3 whenever it comes out.

Love this one man!  Midtempo is tough to nail, but I feel like you did.  Feels suspenseful?  Like a a jewelry thief montage or something.  Nice track.
