This free-jazzy piece is directly inspired by "Push Jazz" by Ned Rush

I recreated the setup for this technique utilizing some advantages that Bitwig's highly modular workflow and extremely elastic modulators provides. Instead of a Push 2 controller, I'm using the discontinued Sensel Morph controller with custom mappings.

It's a real shame the Morph was discontinued, it's a high sensitivity touch pad and multipurpose controller with MPE. It's super powerful and when it came out it was very affordable for something of it's kind, for $300 you got the Morph and one of it's many Overlays. Similar controllers you can find now go for double or more that price. I also dread its obsolescence, since Sensel is no longer updating its firmware. Here's a great video demonstrating the Morph's capabilities, about instrument builder Tim Thompson's Space Palette Pro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_s2P7gMRm0

I'm not a very good finger drummer, maybe it's something I should practice to try and get better at. But also, maybe a featureless pad isn't the best option to finger drum on, perhaps I should ask my sibling if I could borrow their Push.

Jazzy! Some nice elements in this. I’m not good at finger drumming and have decided to acquire other skills. Thanks for sharing!
