DATR- DEEP TECH 1

By donnyjankowski on September 7, 2014 11:53 pm

Driving Music. First DATR track in more than half a year. Now I'm back with a raw, glitchy deep tech track that was recorded all in one take. Testing out a live template I've been working on for a month or so....

Master of multiple styles, eh? Another excellent track, sir.

Excellent !!!
Really cool one-take-template driven work.
I used to to work like all the time ... you just inspired me to have to give it a try again sometime.
(Tho a bit different now as I work in reaper from ableton) hrmm

groovy and smoooooth. Very nice style, dancable stuff! GREAT!!!

Thanks per usual! I wouldn't say master, but I'm an apprentice of sorts for sure!

Thanks! I really like how my live workflow is evolving right now and it's really refreshing to stop thinking of a song in left to right progressions all the time. I've thought about giving Reaper a test drive for a while now but Live is so friggin deep that I keep getting distracted!

Thanks, I was taking a live-recording page out of your book! It's definitely very nice to work on new styles of music/ production from time to time

Very nice track, makes me want a hover car to drive around the city at night.

Ken Ishii, this video is so tight, I wish there was more hand-drawn animation these days.

This is a really cool change of pace.  Digging the fat sound.  It really is suitable driving music.

Mind. Blown. That whole vid is ridiculous. And yeah, I wish there was more stuff like this, too.

Your new DATR is more than welcome. Really great tech-house feeling... I'm playing this very very loud at home right now smile

Man, I've listened to that album a hundred times. Thanks for bringing Ken Ishii back !!!

I saw this and many other amazing videos for the first time on MTV's AMP back in the mid 90s. I wish I could bring that back... probably the only good thing on MTV besides liquid television

If it looks like it's a lot like Akira, that's because it's directed by Koji Morimoto, who did Akira, as well as other kick ass animations.
