L'accordéon de Léon

By djippy on February 3, 2024 7:37 pm

Wasn't sure where direction to go this week, but on Thursday I did listen to a waltz that was very well done here (don't remember which user, but it was a fun listen)

Had the idea to go "accordion" ish for a "french" inspired waltz... Did compose a couple of melodies, chose some bits here and there. Added big delays-verbs on the pianos and called it a day!

All VSTi instruments. Didn't record any audio this time, but it is all right!

Whoa, this is different, but I dig it.  There really aren't enough accordion sounds in most music.

Interesting change of pace! Really liked the twinkling delay sound with the piano at the end. Nice interplay between the instruments.

Whoa is this real accordion?  Love the little trills you threw in.

Keys sound fantastic too, very full sound.

Very pleasant waltz with the accordion and piano smile

*sips coffee at a lone table in a darkly lit cafe as the sun rises reflecting on the puddles in the street* "oh the memories", he says..  (translation: thoroughly enjoyed and agree we need m0ar acc0rdion!)

tres amelie!

I love an accordion waltz.  Really nice track, I love the layering.  I'm currious what the instrument that comes in panned left at 01:00 is?  Has kind of a synth organ tone to it... I deeply want it to be a calliope, but only because that fits the scene this track paints in my head.

Thanks a lot, this is one of the "Vahalla supermassive" presets... Just adds lots of movement. It is actually there the whole track.

Nah no "real" instruments this time. My little midi controller and in the box synths. Accordion is one of the presets from Ableton and the pianos are from XLN Addictive Keys. (Plus added some reverb and delays)

Je me fais prendre la main dans le sac! En effet la pièce est inspiré de la trame sonore du fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulin. Happy that it did translate.

It was composed with some flute sound, then I changed the patch cause it is on the laptop and didn't have access to the library anymore. lol It is actually an Ableton patch called Synthetic Flute.

Sweet melodies. Bravo!!

Lovely, no part of me expects to hear a french-sounding waltz on here, this is way cool! I like how the piano fills out the lower and upper registers around the accordion.

WILD to hear a djippy track with no real instruments?  have I ever heard such a thing?

love the accordion!

Maybe not, but I did post some other all synths tracks smile .

Great piano piece with just a little bit of accordion in there
