There was this game whose music I loved called "rise of the triad" from the early 90s. For some reason, the sound palette you chose here kind of reminded me of that game! Especially since they did an in game cover of one of my favorite Christmas songs, which they called "Deadly Gentlemen". Very nice capturing some of the Christmas vibes without being super obvious about it.

MRDRCAT and Napear both went for gloomy Christmas vibes as well. I guess that's really the zeitgeist, huh. I always complain about short durations and indeed in this case I wouldn't mind if it went for another 1:20! The bass and the chord sounds fit very well together. A consistent atmosphere and interesting harmonic progressions.

That cover link you sent is a very fun listen! Some powerful not so "great" synth patches from 90's to do a killer composition.
