A moody one this week.

Started with some juno 106 clone plugin pads, I did mess up with controllers and it did that kind of cinematic patch. Added some Pianos (xln audio grand), recorded some acoustic drums over it with brushes. Copy pasted it, added some acoustic drums with man sticks... Copy pasted the midi from piano, added a "bell" patch then a bass patch...

Added some vahalla supermassive reverb on stuff, plate reverb on other, compression on drums. BOOM!!!

Happy week to you all!

Joli morceau.

Super nice mood made by the simple piano melody! Amazing combination with the drums and pads. Reminds me of the beautiful soundtrack for the movie Drive My Car by the wonderful Eiko Ishibashi.
I really feel your drums are telling a story!

Thank you so much for the kind comment, I am really happy about how my drums are translated, not much special stuff going on.

I am using one of my guit amp in front of the kick as sub kick, it adds some deep punch to the kick. Close mic all the toms + snare, 2 overhead. Didn't do much processing on this track, just a compressor on the drum bus and a touch of plate reverb.

The raw and powerful drums paired with the smooth and mellow pianos is a really nice combination.  Cool build to it when the more distorted sounds kick in as well.

got the perfect dark and brooding vibe to it mad heart

The drums sound so good in the mix especially when the piano is playing.  The gritty wavering synth really sets the mood too.  The second synth line makes it even more cinematic and dark.  Well done!

Very solemn.

I love your live drum sound!!  wish I could get mine so beefy
