Ain't nothing but ain't much

By djippy on June 5, 2022 11:06 pm

Didn't do much music this week. Girlfriend was a little sick, kids burn my energy... Did record a jam with Niko last week, just found a fun part where we don't so much, added a synth bass, some improvised vocals and VOILÀ!

I just recorded the vocals and bass 1h before the submission limit. It is what it is. Rock!

You had me at "this is djippy from his garage," but the lyrics could be the anthem of week 20+'s trend in song descriptions.  Not sure how comfortable I am with being referred to as a "weeklybeater"

Look out Type O Negative!

hahah "niko mets moi un peu de distortion" - it sounded like a side comment to the guitar smile

J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance garage rock de son track. smile Le son de la guitare est bien sale comme il faut. smile Un petit cote Stooges.

Hello to you too sir, I'm doing alright haha. That hefty guitar sounds like much to me - I most certainly had fun listening to this. Thank you very much for the song!

Live recording, un peu de reverb et de delay ajouté... Rock!

It is ok, I have not much to do with the heft sounds, (added some reverb and delay, but that's it)

Thanks!

I think I'll have a more complete song this week... (Maybe) See you later.

Nice one! Rock!

Super grooving track.  Love the sound of the guitars.

Amazing! Raw spy thriller. Love the open space in the mix and the stops and starts. The guitar crunch and short lead flourishes have such great tone. One hour before deadline is where the magic happens!

I really dig that guitar tone, it almost sounds kind of "rubbery" when you're palming muting and chugging, like that 60's/70's bass guitar tone except on a guitar. It also lends itself well to the "Spy thriller" vibe that NWSPR mentioned. I love the sudden burst of distortion right before the end ^_^

I immediately liked the tone on that guitar from the start.
Cool reading your process and nice work getting it in right before the submission limit.
I enjoyed this!

Haha "or maybe not!" made me laugh. Don't be sorry. You are djippy. Nice work! I hope everyone is feeling better.

I don't like to put myself on a schedule. Whenever the mood strikes.
