14 days with Robot in the appartment

By djippy on April 7, 2024 11:40 am

This is an instrumental this week as I wasn't feeling as writing lyrics neither sing...

Tough week as I was pretty sick last weekend. I am over this now, but energy was not there. Did record pretty much everything on the same session on Thursday.

Hope you guys likes it.

Oof love that guitar tone, whatcha got going there? Really nice

Even nicer when the harmony comes in!

I love especially the last two minutes where you bring in the second melody. Brutal and beautiful. Hope you're feeling better.

This goes pretty hard. Sounds as if tensions build after the 14 days with the robot. The honeymoon is over!

The slow tempo reminds me of Type O Negative, a band that loved to stick to grueling slow heavy riffs. All you need now is slides across the entire neck big_smile

Little Gibson Melody maker 2006 modified with a burstbucker into Randall RD1H out to Focusrite Scarlett. I use the "Fuzz3Plus" legacy plugin from audio damage as well and added to the chain as well some more amp simulation and fuzz from two notes "Genome" plugin (in parallel mostly).

Yeah thanks! Feeling decent now, plus it is beautiful weather today and you guys are very kind with your comments.

This is a good idea! I should find one of those copper (or steel, or plastic) thing to put on my left figer so I can slide a solo. I feel it would be fun, but probably super tough to keep the other strings kind of quiet?

To experiment...

Thanks a lot all, have a great Monday!

I wonder if you and robot will have a musical collaboration one day. I see it as a possibility. Nice brutal guitar solo in the end.

The harmony! Loved the slow riffs. I agree with the Type O comments, similar drawn out vibe and crunch.

The guitar at the end is so good. Like we were just lilting along and now it’s time to go.

I can see that Robot doing its work to this track. Nice heavy beat, great crunchy tone

at least robot is cleaning up a bit!
dig this triumphant sludge! nice drumming, and yeah those end guitars \m/

Heeeavy!!! Nice!!!! I really like how things start stretching out at the end (near 4:30). Super fun. The guitar sounds AWESOME - super gritty and distorted, just how I like it!

I love it. I know how draining a sickness can be, but I'm glad you pulled through. I'm sure this song has a place in the story somewhere, perhaps the theme song, or at least a variation of it somewhere in the middle.

Maybe it's the artwork but def have some visuals of the robot cleansing happening in slomo as you strike each snare, tom and cymbal.  That being said the drums sound awesome in a wall of thick guitar sound.  Excellent sludging groove felt throughout.  The anthemic guitar solo towards the end is powerful as everything builds around it.  Well done!
