NO DRUMS

By dj someguy on July 13, 2016 6:00 pm

On hols this week. So no time nor inspiration.
This came out.
Don't really know what to think of it. You might, though ...

Unexpected piece, quite cinematic. Seems ideal for a videogame... I could hear Max Payne putting his voice over it while he searches for clues smile

Think there are plenty of nice elements in it...
I like the part where the 303 like bass came in and the choir/noise like Sound is also great.
There was instantly a dry four on the floor basedrum and also a dry snare on my mind.
Cause you have this nice loose percoussion, no hihats...
Ok.. I couldn't resist and tried it for 5 mins. I also put your track through some TAL dub filter/delay. A bit too much on the whole track... aber da geht was...
So this track definitly inspired me...

Hope you find YOUR inspiration this week...

cheers,
Gunnar

Unusual but good. Im with laguna on the video game thing smile

I could see (hear?) this developing into something really powerful.

This definitely creates an atmosphere, and develops very nicely from the sparse rhythmic intro to the ambient fade out. I like it!

Pieces without steady drums are always interesting because so much more is heard. If anything, it's a nice break from constantly making weekly tracks. But I can also see this as an intro to a banger too. The little bell sound that pans and alternates with the drone/ noise pad. also brings a good deal of interest to the track.

Nice atmos

Nice variation from the usual tracks, let's the background shine

Nothing wrong with this.  I enjoy beatless tracks.  Opens up the focus to textures and pulses.  Dig it.
