LOCKDOWN

By dj someguy on April 2, 2016 12:27 pm

I've been absent from Weekly Beats the past two weeks, first due to me moving to a new place with all my gear hidden in boxes. The second week however, my beloved and beautiful city of Brussels was attacked by terrorists and I was too devastated to make music, or even to listen to it.
Things have finally eased down a bit in Brussels now, and so have I.
Hope you like this piece of music I put together.

Sorry for everything that happened in your town, I mean it. Glad to see you back here.

Nice chill piece you cooked here. Peaceful and soothing

Hope you're feeling better every day

Thanks man, that's awfully sweet! Really appreciate it! smile

Yes, nice chilled track. Glad you're feeling stronger smile

Very glad to have you back. Strong work.

Glad to hear you are ok and back, missed your tracks the last couple weeks, nice classic sounds on this one, very pleasing to the ear

Welcome back and I sincerely hope music can help you heal.  Very nice relaxing tune.  It's easy to just kind of bliss out to.

thanks! I'm okay, wish I could say the same about the city though. No tourists anymore, bars closing pretty early, empty metros, ... Hope things get back to normal again soon. So if you guys are looking for places to go to: Brussels please! wink

Thanks, it's a bit different from what I usually do and it all came out quite organically. Didn't really have a plan when I started this one, and usually I would have thrown this away, but it had a certain ring to it, I found, so I kept it and now I'm even growing a bit fond of this little track ...

Thanks! Happy to be back for sure! Music does soothes the soul, I found out smile

glad to have you back. I figured it was something like that.

Track is a bit reflective yet it still finds itself being playful. Autumn breeze baby!

Welcome back!  And very sorry that such awful things have happened there.  This does feel like a gently healing piece--great space, great harmony.

Glad to see you back here.
This track has a very good balance between being laid back, but still upbeat. Very nice!

Thanks man!  Appreciate it! I was very emotional when I made this indeed, feels a bit embarrassing now even, but I like what came out of it

Thanks a lot! Quite happy with the result myself, the piece being quite far from what i usually do ...

oh man, had no idea you were in Brussels.  hugs all around.

you got this beat on LOCKDOWN.  the almost "telephone touch tone" melody is neat.  as is that subtle repeating swell sound in the background

Glad you are alright man. First off, I love the chords; they bring a lot of flavor and groove to the track. And the beat of course, super electrifying, yet subtly magnificent smile
