Took a pill...

This week I wanted to try and strip things back. No crazy vocal processing, no synths/keys, just my voice, and drums. SUPER proud of myself for sticking to that (Well, I did some formant shifting on one of the chorus' for harmonies) - I'm not a SUPER strong vocalist, but I quite enjoy what I made this week! Super proud of myself for making something not super croony with four-word-bars.

Never done this many vocal layers either. Miiiight have gone overboard for fear of being too vulnerable

learned SO MUCH on this! Especially after last week, I'm so happy I'm taking on weekly beats!

Fun fact - the chorus was improvised and I had to record it before I wrote it down. While the initial recording did not make it into the final mix - the melody and cadence is unchanged!

Special thanks to the discord (Esp. Orange Drink) for the feedback early on!

As always - constructive Criticism warmly welcomed!

Solid work
It feels like the two things play different tempos at times, but that could just be an illusion
Also feels like it could use a snare drum
- Ebrit

Thank you! Everything is locked to the same BPM but it could be an auditory illusion since the different drums have different decay times

I tried playing with a snare, but couldn't quite get it right. Thanks though! I'll look into that next time I do a track like that!

Crispy textures

Loved it. This feels like a big risk as an artist, and I’m glad to be here to hear it because it paid off.
