Fever Pitch

Second week of the year, and more work on the combination of guitar and modular. I'll follow up with more of a description.

Additional details: This is all electric guitar played live through a modular synthesizer. The glitchy under beat is a bit of the Trigger Man, along with the byproduct glitches inherent in the looper. The main guitar line is heard with various aspects of the audio spectrum being modulated by a medium-paced LFOs, and being sent through the looper for additional glitchy effects, all echoes and stutter. And then at the end a snippet of a chord is sent through a Phonogene for a simulated tape-loop fade-out. There's more going on, like the primary guitar line being put through a filter, but that's the gist of it.

I like it! The sonic artefacts are particularly lovely - really add a nice dimension of space.

Thanks very much. I love how the high-gain guitar noise can become an element unto itself.

As part of the Disquiet Junto series of weekly projects, Joseph Branciforte added a second part to my "Fever Pitch" piece:

Very nice, I like the sci fi blending of the guitar and electronic scan
