City of Air

Back in the groove.  Everything is synths but a few of the drum instruments.  This song was sort of like a purging of my unconscious mind in a way because I noticed the lead instrument timbre, melody, and parts of the progression remind me A LOT of two songs.   The first is Swivel by Hiroki Kikuta (off of the Seiken Densetsu 3: Trials of Mana OST), and the second is Micawber's Moan by Random (off of the legendary Bad Joke EP, on of my all time faves).   I have to give credit to them because the similarities are there in timbre and tonal color to the first and in vibe and progression to the second.   Both must have been rattling around somewhere in the back of my head when I wrote this.

I don't know enough about their music to understand

Sitting but my heart tells me to leave

I walk quickly uphill to escape

But I'm tired now, rest has come

Dreams take me away

Until it all starts again

oh yeah, rocking away at the back of the room is where you will find me. Great mix.

Get a real mid-2010s chip vibe from this track - but with updated hardware haha. Good work.

before i made electronic music or chip stuff I always found myself coming back to listening to chiptune since the early 2000s regardless of whatever musical obsession i was currently listening to.   so your comment means a lot - thank you

Man, what a bop, there's so much going on it's like an adventure

That tremolo section!!! Spectacular piece of music—absolutely love the drum sounds entrance, shifts the whole track into a new territory. heart

The panning of the percussion is very cool here. I like the melodies and the energy of the track!

Another amazing track! I especially loved the bit at 3:40ish where thinks get choppy. Looooove that.
