Sorcerous Reprieve

Sometimes you find a foundation that's so solid, you build the entire song around it.

I'm starting to warm up to Magix Music Maker a little. The fact LMMS can't record audio forces my hand a little (not too much, I have other ways), but aside from that I have just about my favorite things on it as well: an amazing choir, a grand piano, and some powerful drums. Especially the choir is real pretty; though it's also a much more stable VST host than LMMS, someone recommended AGML2 as guitar and it hasn't crashed the program yet.

As usual, the melodica had to be recorded in staccato or the damn noise cancellation would kick in, and I have no way to remove that, so I'm gonna try my phone next time. Trust me when I say it's so much nicer with long notes and fluid transitions, it's also impossible to breathe out the whole thing, but it's the thought that counts.

The square wave is Revolta 2, which is a plug-in that came with MMM, but for the purpose of this song it could've been any VST.

Wow, that choir! heart

Beautiful arrangement. The choir vocal in very authentic and well done. Actually, too short!

I know, right? I'll put up with any kind of bullshit if it means I get functional magic, and the choir is completely worth it.

I couldn't really think of anything after a while, it's the inherent problem with WeeklyBeats all around. It's the same choir I used at the end of this song.

Nice choir. Floats nicely. I like that.

Very uplifting mood!

The melodica adds a whole different level of intensity.

It's great, leave it to a choir to fill the blank spots in a song.

It's what I go for. If I need a thing to pick me up, I can always take my own stuff.

I kinda had to put it in there somewhere, might as well put it where it has the most impact.

the melodica reminds me of Magic Pengel, or something?? i can't put my finger on it.. LOVE IT THO

It plays the same motif as everything else, but it's really simple so I wouldn't be surprised if it was somewhere else too.

very ethereal... interesting mix of things, like it very much!

These are among my most favorite instruments, bringing them together is really an easy one.

Beautiful track, and as you already know a great sounding choir! The staccato melodica provides a contrast that works very well, although it's not what you would have preferred.

It's starting to grow on me, but it's still kind of a waste.

Nice one... choir is beautyful... the harmonica gave me a slight shock in the first moment. But yeah fits nicely!

It's a melodica, actually. Very different thing.
Yea, that choir is a monster.

Super uplifting choir peeps and love the live feel/sound of the drums in this. smile

I guess I'm going to have to join the choir of comments praising the choir on this.  smile

Thanks, I had to get out of my way to obtain them, but they're well worth it.

Preach it!

The drums really punch through the mix on this one. Nice!

Prestidigitation is one hell of a drug.
