Power United

By Devieus on December 29, 2024 10:52 pm

Everyone knows the ultimate power is obtained through the efforts of many.

This is a collaboration between not just all of me, but also the amazing djippy, the wonderful Huabun, the mighty Jegasus, that one that_ranjit, the crazy good Kedbreak136 and the lovely Horatiu Romantic.

I don't quite remember what parts are whose exactly, but vocals are definitely Horatiu, piano by Horatiu and Huabun, some nice fills and bass by that_ranjit, drums by djippy and Jegasus with a bit of mine, guitars by Kedbreak and myself. Little bits and bobs by various people. Birds by us.

And a "Hi" from OrangeDrink. It counts.

Many thanks to djippy for spearheading this.
Many thanks from us all for listening.

See you next time, presumably in your comments section as we catch up, but also in 2026.

Happy new year.

These bird chirps will live forever in my heart!

I could not have put it better ❤️
It was amazing to share WB with all of you, DESLRV! Thank you fur being such a reliable WB fixture, you rock. And your birds will stick with me for a GOOOOOD long while, I'm sure of it =P
Peace, friends! See you in the discord!

Love this, our different personalities get thru our arrangements-mixes! Killer job. Thank you so Much for your generous comments thru the complete year.

Great end track to WB24! Thanks for all the comments and feedback throughout the year!

That is an interesting arena rock version of the track (I think the piano and guitars pairing does that). I like how you reimagined the whole flow of the track. The glitched beat mid way is sick. And the way it transitions into chiptune sounds. I like that rotating melody around 2:40 - very cool. And then we go back into hard guitars and horatiu, it feels a nostalgic journey. There is love, smiles, sadness as we part away, and a couple of laughs. And birds!  That synth solo around 3:40
Was cool as well.

Thank you for sharing your tracks in 2024 and I’m looking forward to 2026 for more of your music and maybe even more guitars!

Such a fun way to end the year with. Sounds like an end credits rock opera song. Dare I say, there's some Queen energy in it. If Queen had a chiptune artist and digital chirping birds big_smile

We did it! WB24 is over. Hope 2025 treats you well!

Happy New Year to you too! wink It’s been a joy to watch your sound evolve in 2024. Hats off to everyone involved in this one. Looking forward to 2026 already!

Thank you too, we'll try to go through the songs we missed.
It's no real surprise it's more punk, that's just what we do.

They will $100% be back next round, even if I won't (but I probably will).

It fell into place rather nicely on its own for the most part. First time dropping things in it was pretty nice already, then smeared it out so it's not too much at any time.

A bit of a fire hazard, anything that glows is fine for me.
Thanks for stopping by, it's always nice hearing from you.

Putting my guitars and djippy's drums as foundation really made it so much easier. Even did the thing with the bridge where there's very little drums.

Let me know if you ever need my birds, I'll send them over homing style.

Guess it comes with the territory. Giving everyone a visit.
You did great, this week and this year.

It was a good time, even if your music didn't always mesh with us.
It's the time we spent together that matters more.

If there's one thing I learned, it's that electric guitar goes with anything. It's a universal truth, and I respect that.
The glitched beat and that solo were some people's contribution, but the melody was a sneaky from the generator we put in. It's part of our bag of tricks, it'd be a shame not to have it.
There'll definitely be more guitar in 2026, meanwhile, I'll keep tabs on your work in 2025, even if I won't show it.

I can see that. What better way to end a year than with a rock opera credits song. I'll say the tempo was surprisingly fitting for it, even though the 104=52x2 bit was kind of a throwaway remark.

Here's to hoping it's going to be a good year.

It definitely feels like we got better, but we can do better still. I'll get to your songs for sure. We used your song as closing song for the listening party to much appreciation.

I'll definitely look forward to what you got next round as well.

Happy new year,

Oh man I just got done listening to djippy's version and I'm STOKED there's more! That means this epic tune doesn't have to end! Your take is lighter but no less bombastic, with all participants shining through. It sounds like everyone is on a crowded, badly-lit stage at the end of a long night of revelry, playing with lovely, mismatched gusto as the hardcore partiers sway drunkenly with each other on the confetti & balloon covered dance floor. It's the ultimate "something big is over, but it was glorious wasn't it?" energy!

LOL. Like everyone's said, totally epic. Sounds great

Yes! totally captures the vibe.
Have a happy new year!

It's the perfect energy for the situation. The year's ended, it's time to take it easier and let go. Everyone doing a final bit.

Almost makes you wish it didn't end. Perhaps I can make it longer, but I don't want to. Maybe next time there's more people.

Ahhh yes! Making me smile huge. This is so much fun, thanks for making this. Fun to hear all the contributions together. Gotta make those weekly beats all year long, and now we're done, congrats! Have a great 2025!
