Fading Power

By Devieus on November 10, 2024 11:50 pm

As foretold last week, my birthday was this week. So here's something special.

This is a remix, as it were, of Huabun's Fading Light, and you should listen to it twice. Once right now, and once again right after listening to this.

First thing I did was increase the tempo. 6 minutes is an impressive feat, but I felt it was better at 150% tempo. At least for what I wanted to do to it.

Unfortunately, I'm still sick, and as such, not all I wanted to do to it could be done. No drums and the guitars are rushed a bit. It's still something I can appreciate though.

I can always go back and fix it. Maybe not this year, but in the future.

Thank you kindly. It was very decent and I'm feeling much better.

ahh happy bday week. I dig the vibe of the no drums, feels more contemplative. Great work on this one. Rest up!

This is very nice indeed! I think it sounds great as is, the lack of drums is quite nice and works well here.

Thank you so much on all that. I feel it could be just a bit more emotional if there were drums, but we simply ran out of time.

It definitely is. The drums we had in mind wouldn't be grand. Think triangles and stuff. Very delicate hits to go with the delicate guitar.
