Christmas with Friends

By Devieus on December 18, 2022 11:09 pm

Christmas is the week this comes out, the Sunday no less, but still. So for that event, I made this song real quick. I'll see if I can give it a listen on Christmas, if I'm even me.

Also hi, it's me (still weird I sometimes just aren't).

hmm i really liked listening to this one

at 0:40 with the new instrument over top backing everything up really adds a lot

very pretty song and the drums complement everything well!

Haha the seasons appropriate bells reminded me of Ipaghost's comment about christmas' tracks. "It's all about the bells". This track works as a Christmas track! It has a feeling of being content and slightly optimistic towards the end of the year.

Fun little Christmas track! Hope you have happy holidays!

I find a little chinese influence in the melody. happy xmas time to everybody.

Thank you very much, I put quite a bit of effort into this, always trying to keep it from going stale.

It's just unfortunate Gadget doesn't come with bells on its own and I have to morph a tambourine into one, but hey, at least you know it's Christmas, it's not like you'll find it any other time, so it's fine to let it live a little.

I'm not sure there is any, I just went to major pentatonic and that was good enough (the program can pick a scale for you, and while this wasn't the scale it choose, it did pick F#, so it's all black keys). I just wanted cheery.
Merry Christmas to you too.

I like what you did with the drums where the second kick in the pattern is off a beat pushing the melody forward with a jaunty little skip. Subtle but makes the song. Merry Christmas Devieus!

A perfect Christmas with friends melody here. Good feels. What a season, merry Christmas to you!

Really enjoyed the laid back feel of the drums.  Giving it almost a floating down a river with friends feel smile  Peaceful and calming melody.  Hope you are having a good holiday season! smile

Thank you so much. I'm not a huge fan of always staying on beat like that, it's a nice bit of variety.

Thank you, hope yours was good as well, mine was... not me at the time (the others didn't want to reply, since it's my song, hence the late reply), but it was a good time.

It's the best way to spend Christmas, I'm sure. I hope you had a good one, too.
