Charged Yasham

By Devieus on October 27, 2024 9:35 pm

Second week of not quite power chords, and again the title comes from the generator. A simple progression, not too long, but that makes it definitely qualify for a live performance should it come to that. Easy to extend as well as expand should there be a need.

The signature is an interesting one here, 2 bars of 4/4 and then what feels like triples in a 3/4, so 11/4 total and for simplicity. Feels nice though. That's why I went with it. You're free to remix this song, naturally, though I recommend just recreating the meters, it's really not that hard.

Some pieces of this remind me of some of iron maiden's quieter more chill songs. Super cool!

Very cool. I’m with Jegasus here, very reminiscent of some of the mellower, more introspective metal I grew up on. I like this a lot.

Also went for distorted guitar this week. 11/4 is a bold choice, makes for interesting listening!

The fade into chip land is _rad_. I was not expecting it at all. It was like mellow chugs and then chip time. Really fun mix.

dig it

I love this powerful sequence, lots of energy. Great guitar tone too. Nice one!

It's always a nice thing when a heavy metal band does that for seemingly no reason. It always feels just that much more chill.

Thank you. Sometimes the real metal is within.

Not really what the goal was, just hit a cool melody and then only later figure out 11/4 best fits the rhythm pattern. Seriously thought it was a triplet at first, but it just wasn't.

Gotta ease them into it, though there's room for a song with just the chugs, being exactly that mellow.

I can make mine go to 12.
Not really, but it's just an arbitrary scale anyway and a gain of 10 is already way too much that you can't even hear the hits anymore.

Seasoned to the best possible tone.
