Ancient Power

By Devieus on September 13, 2024 12:54 pm

Back in ancient times, there was nothing, just sand, dust, and chip metal. It was the most awesome chip metal ever.

Made this in Reaper, it's just kinda my thing and stuff. Getting better at it every time. The song is based off of a doodle we made a few months back or so, and thought I'd develop it into an idea of a song. It's not perfect, it's not great, it doesn't have the birds, but it does have a mysterious voice (that's also not great, need to twiddle with the echo settings for one). Truly something from a different time.

It seems something went wrong with rendering, so this should be the right one.

The basic square wave blends super nicely with the gritty guitar, this is very fun! I can see this being used in a game where you're entering a mysterious ancient tomb, potentially causing the rise of some undead creature buried deep within.

Nice track!! Excellent guitar work. Didn't realize you were into Reaper now; how is that treating you?

Cool track! Definitely hearing the sandy Egyptian tomb vibes 🏜️

I noticed I submitted a faulty render, so be sure to listen to the other one, and I'll see if I can get a reupload link. Or maybe leave as is because this has a vibe all its own.

That's definitely what inspired it, specifically Castlevania - Portrait of Ruin.

Same as last time I used it, which was a while back, back in week 14. Not without issues, but having features that are very nice.

Then it was a good success.

Again, be sure to listen to the other one, too.
