dreaming of digby

I wrote this song moons ago and also recorded it in WB 2018 week 1 on my crappy laptop setup with just guitar and vocals.  I've always wanted to a "full band" production of it, so decided to this week.  I usually play this song live with a loop station, so recording it bit by bit felt so different than playing live.  My pals on here who've heard this song live 10 times by now have got to be sick of it, but here it is one more.

To be honest, I am happy with the quality in production, but i feel like the song loses some of its emotion since I sped it up the overall tempo from around 75 bpm to 85 bpm.  I went back and listened to the low quality V1 of this, and think i enjoy the rawness of v1 a bit more.

The older i get i realize how wah-wah boo-hoo this song is, but the White Buffalo will do that to you.  Enjoy.

Immediate smiles. FUCK YASSSSS. Absolutely killed it. You nailed this out of the park. Not enough compliments for this.

daaaaamn awesome job, NAILED the harmonies. hell yeah!

Tempo change definitely changes the song a bit.  Fuckin' love it though.  Yeah you nailed those harmonies.  Did you use the SM-57 at all for this?

Great work on this bubs.  It's pretty cool to have a superb recording of this song.  Definitely gotta favorite and download.

I used the 57 for all of the vocals and the cleaner guitar tone in the interlude section, and DI for some of the heavier stuff.  Thanks again for letting me try this out, it has definitely given me a wider choice of options in regards to recording guitar, and the fact that the vocals sound so much more crisp than my mics i own are leading me into picking up a new mic asap.  prob this week.  thanks bud

oh boy i love this fucking song!!

Great guitars, songs feels super honest. Good job again.

Dude this guitar part at the beginning is so sick.  I'm a big fan of this whole song, its very well written.  Thanks for re-recording it.

What a great track! These guitars are on point! I really like how you repeat words like a human delay, very nice touch heart And I 100% agree with everyone here, these harmonies are top notch!

No lack of feeling, tone, and harmony in this one! First time hearing it for me. I like how the vocal melody in the verses doubles the guitar in the beginning. Downloading!

Mmm. Love me this track. I remember really looking forward to playing this live with you. Way to do it justice and do a full recording. This song deserves it.

Ahh lovely, this is so sweet heart Nothing wrong with wah wah boo hoo every now and then, or often if you're me. Great texture and instrumentation, writing and singing, this all works together so well.

I remember that old version, it definitely had a quality this one lacks. It's still good though, more complete, but v1 expressed the mood more strongly.
