I agree, the Mist is very under rated.  I thought that movie was pretty wild, sweet, messed up ending too.  Didnt know there was a show about that though, might need to check it out.  Just finished watching Ratched on Netflix this week, I'd definitely recommend that if you're looking for a new horror series to start if you havent seen it yet. Its a lot of the cast from American Horror Story, but its significantly more violent.
