Cool song dude! Definitely works without drums, the delay on the rhythm guitar helps keep the beat. Good work on the vocals too, love the call and response thing.
This is a better version by far. The guitars carry, as Foo said, and the pushed vocal harmonies are great! Take off that high end of your guitar to get that slap gone l, I can tell you used your strat in the bridge setting
