This is sick - love the pad synth sounds and how varied your sections are. Nice use of vocal samples to tie things together. I'm curious how you're approaching these odd time signatures on the m8. Do you split a bar over multiple phrases with different grooves?
Lovely breaks. Wish I could transition so well. There's a bit of hope in the second part of the track. Hope. I'm ready for it.
This is really cool! I love your stuttery kicks
Thanks for listening! Hope I didn't overdo those kick rolls.

Thank you! Yes, exactly. Here track 8 is using GGR to alternate between a full phrase and a phrase with a 6-6-0-0-0-0-0-0-0... groove. There are plenty of ways to accomplish this on the M8, but this is easiest for me, especially when I need to throw in some RMXs or short even-odder-meter measures to glue things together.

Thank you for listening! When I first put in the major thirds, I intended to just flash them briefly and then return to the full minor darkness. But yeah, in the end the hope needed to stick around, symmetry be damned.
I feel myself swaying like a drunken space pirate to this one. Zaps, crunch synth chord hits, and high-intensity drum programming all crash overhead, but the main lead (plus the time sig) grounds me with its sea shanty rhythms. More praise for the transitions, and for the layers/unlayering which keeps the high chaos moments from getting stale
Ooohhh, the rhythm here trips my brain up so good!!! Niiiice!!! Really enjoying the sound choices, too. Lush pads + pulse waves is always delicious.
Love the voices! This could be a soundtrack me taking the train downtown. Also, kick rolls are A-ok.
sounds very jazzy and cool to me and great sound selection for it. I would love to be able to do different meters on the m8. something for a future weekly challenge. great work!

Oh snap, there a lot of sea shanty here. Totally missed that. Thanks for listening!

Thank you! The stumbling rhythms here turned from a bug to a feature quickly!

Thank you! I made a sample chain of the numbers 0-127 a while back to help me troubleshoot something. (Can’t even remember what now.) Didn’t intend to actually use it in a track but It’s made its way into several tracks now.

Thank you! Go for it! My odd meter attempts always start out really jarring. But keep the faith and you can iteratively smooth them out.
This is so cool! Absolutely enthralled with the drums. I need to play with different time signatures more on my M8, this is such a good exemplar.
Another banger! You have a real knack for making those odd meters sound natural.

Thank you! Do it!

Thanks for listening! My secret is stubbornness.
