Thank you .. never heard of Emeralds, googled it and I really dig it. I admit I really don't listen/know almost any ambient outside of whatever ambient tracks Aphex twin and Autechre have made. Thank you! It's actually pretty simple. Someone was talking on discord about a japanese drone wavetable synth, and I thought, well, M8 can do this. I took a wav synth engine, duplicated it across a few tracks with small amounts of detuning and/or triad offsets, and then swept the umbrella wavetable really slowly. This sounds nice with most wavetables but particularly cinematic with umbrella.
