snow

Here we go again. Tried weeklybeats on 2022, didn't get too far - only six submissions. I have even less free time now, so I don't expect to do much better this time around. But we'll see.

The song is inspired by the snow we finally got this weekend. Made on the M8 tracker, with lead synth and string pad sampled from a nanobox fireball.

love the clicky percussion and the deep, growling bass!

@midimachine - thank you! I am happy with that bass, it was just a quick patch made with the M8 engine but I thought worked well. I wasn't so sure about the clicks so I'm glad you liked them!

Ooohhh, I second that comment. The clicky percussion works suuuuper well with the vibe you're building here. This is awesome! Super chill and subdued. And the slightly menacing vibe that pops in at 1:20 is *great*!

Percussions slicing through the bass sound fantastic indeed.

lovely bass, welcome to another year!

It growls!

Man, I'm really digging the M8 tracks I've been hearing. Great stuff.

As long as it's something, you're welcome here. This is definitely more than something though.

That bass is satisfying on top of the punchy beat. Keep em coming!

Calming track, but with some winter darkness too. I like the minimalistic rhythms.

So you make this song and then the next week there's a cold warning? That's weird.. Do you control the weather?

Can you make a song called sunshine and rainbows?

This is really good and really fits the mood I feel when I look outside

that really soft descending sound makes me think of snow

Nice feeling, quite cinematic big_smile

You'll probably hear a lot of it here, by much better musicians than myself! And yes it's great!

Sorry I made another gloomy track on week 2, I'll try to switch it up and see if I can get spring here faster (but we'll see what punxsutawney phil has to say about it)

Nice, I love how this one takes its time building up.

Hope you make it past six submissions this year, I also botched 2022 pretty hard...

Haha, thank you! I've definitely kept the words from your WB1 video in mind as I'm try to keep the streak up. I hadn't thought of these tracks as a collection, but that's a cool way of thinking about it. We'll see if I can get 12 EPs out of this wink

Minimal!
