limping (plz vote)

not going to lie, I've been limping to the finish line for a while. Sorry if I haven't replied to comments, I really appreciate them, I'll definitely get to them.

As for the song this week, mashed together a bunch of noisy loops on my M8. I'm in the swingiest state and a bit of a nervous wreck, just like this song. But I'll do my part and vote on Tuesday, if you are an eligible US voter I hope you do too! (If you are not in the US, and tired of hearing about the election, and wondering how it's even close, I know, I hear you - let's hope it's over soon).

first!

Man, no way, I went for quite similar broken glitchy sounds this week big_smile I made mine in radically different ways, but the initial idea was for quite the similar soundset you have in your first minute. Later the bass/lead slays there, it gets deliciously industrial. (nitpick: I'd take away some of the global reverb at that point as the track is in full motion.)

Hope you have a happy Wednesday. I'm eagerly watching what's going on myself as it affects my region more than you'd expect.

heart

Oooh getting some old school feels of autechre and aphex.  Love the gritty textures and that thick airy lead.  It was an honor working on your track "bullaby" thank you for the inspiration smile

Don't worry: this whole thing will be over soon. I mean, I'm pretty sure there will be endless litigation after the fact, but hopefully that can just stay in the background and can get drowned out as just noise so regular folks can just continue on with their lives and not have to deal with political insanity.

Regarding the glitchy tune, this is super cool! Very gruff, industrial and heavy! Some of those leads sound like a power drill, but musical! Hahahaha... Awesome!

whoa was not expecting that one! sounds like the inside of my head right now  big_smile
nice work on the mix.
here's hoping we still have some semblance of a democracy after all the dust settles...

Very Interesting track. I like how it is strung together. Your pinging and ponging percussive sections have a nice rhythmic glitch feel. There is a solid groove cobbled together in bits and pieces that give it a very mechanical feeling. Cool stuff.

Thank you for voting. It didn't go how I'd have hoped but in my state, we don't get much say.

Thanks for your feedback, you're totally right.

And.. for the rest, well, we know how that turned out. At this point I'm just anxiously waiting to see what will happen and hoping that it will be ok. Or close to it.

Thank you for listening heart I was happy to vote - it was actually my first time, as a recently naturalized citizen. Didn't really go as I'd hoped either - just awaiting next year with a mix of dread and a bit of  possibly delusional hope.
