This my first all-M8-engine track this WB. So I let the M8 generate the title too.

Fairly happy with the pads and lead patches, which are FMsynth. NES bass is just a wavsynth. The kick and clap patches are modified versions of FM presets from Trash80's excellent pack.

Groovy! I really like the doubling of the low bass part with the high synth - still leaves plenty of space in the middle for pads while giving the bass a bit more presence. The plucky/bell sounds around 1:10 are a great contrast to the other pad/synth sounds.

Aw yiss TRI bass again!
Drums could use more punch yikes drive that limiter!
Like the glitchy sounds

There's something organic about using synthesis in place of samples. I like this. The pad sounds like "Reach For The Dead" by Boards Of Canada.

Good track. Calm but not snoozing!

Sounds great!  Makes me think I should try triangle bass more

Thank you! You might have a better insight in how the mix works than I do to be honest big_smile

OMG! that sun gives me PTSD but it does fit the title. And I totally agree, listening again I think I could make things a bit louder

Thank you! I loove the M8 engines, they don't sound as lush as some of my other gear out the box but I love the challenge of trying to get the best out of them. And yes! I listened to sooo much BoC back in the day.

Thank you! And yes you can probably write some bangin' basslines! The other day I was looking at a MIDI transcription of a NES megaman 4 track and man, that bassline was so elaborate and good.
